Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented MEP Estimation Engineer with mandatory proven experience in at least one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing, specifically within the UAE market. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for MEP projects, ensuring compliance with UAE codes, standards, and local regulations.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for MEP works (Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing) on construction and infrastructure projects in the UAE.
  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents of MEP works to develop comprehensive estimates.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
  • Performs site surveys and assists the customer with design solutions tailored for his requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and ensure competitive pricing.
  • Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to determine project costs.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to gather necessary data for estimation.
  • Ensure estimates comply with UAE regulations, standards, and local authority requirements.
  • Identify risks, contingencies, and resource requirements in estimates.
  • Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) rate analysis, cost breakdowns and scope of work documentation.
  • Do tender submissions, participate in tender review, provide technical & commercial inputs, value engineering, and bid clarifications.
  • Maintain a database of historical costs and supplier rates for UAE MEP projects.
  • Track market prices, material availability, and industry cost trends.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals as per client requirements.
  • Works multiple projects simultaneously ensuring that all sales and project activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in MEP estimation with proven expertise in UAE projects.
  • Good understanding of UAE construction codes, local authority regulations, and MEP standards.
  • Experience working with architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficient in estimation and MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with UAE market rates and suppliers preferred.
  • Having a GCC/UAE driving license with car (Will have Preference)
