Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough site inspections and quality control checks of MEP installations, identifying and rectifying deficiencies to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Review and approve MEP shop drawings, submittals, and material selections, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other construction professionals to coordinate MEP activities and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed MEP project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings, for accurate record-keeping.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing updates on MEP progress, addressing concerns, and proactively identifying potential risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards, promoting a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Monitor drawing / material / work conformances with provisions as per specification / DEWA/Civil Defense and JAFZA regulations.
  • Check the activities on site and provide the necessary reminders to the Project Director, Construction Manager and the Planning Engineer for any immediate action.
  • Specialized in Mep Coordination drawings, Builders work drawings, Drainage, Firefighting, Shaft co-ordination, smoke management system, Water Supply System, lighting System, Power System, Power Containment System, telephone & data system, Low current System, Fire Alarm & Voice Evacuation System, Earting, Lighting Protection System.
  • Follow up the status of material and shop drawings and keep all parties informed of the status and follow up the implementation of the Clients comments in timely manner.
  • Coordinate with main contractors, sub-contractors, MEP coordinator, Engineers and Construction Manager to obtain clearance before starting the work to ensure smooth and efficient execution of work.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), providing a strong foundational knowledge.
  • Hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent, demonstrating professional competency and commitment.
  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience in UAE, offering proven practical experience.
  • Demonstrate experience in commercial, industrial, or high-rise building projects, showcasing relevant industry exposure.
  • Possess the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, demonstrating technical aptitude.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and time-management skills, ensuring efficient project execution.
