Roles & Responsibilities
Job Title: Melter Department: Melting Location: Dubai, UAE Experience Required: Minimum 3 years of experience in gold or precious metals melting Job Purpose The Melter is responsible for transforming pure gold and silver grains into high-quality bars in accordance with production instructions and internal quality standards. The role ensures precision in weighing, purity calculation, and bar finishing to maintain the refinery’s production integrity and standards. Key Responsibilities • Operate melting furnaces and related equipment to process precious metals according to production requirements. • Prepare raw materials and ensure proper weighing, mixing, and purity adjustments as needed. • Monitor temperature, timing, and process conditions to ensure consistent product quality. • Conduct visual inspections of finished products for surface or quality defects. • Maintain accurate records of weights, production quantities, and material balances. • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality control procedures. • Coordinate with production management for daily schedules and production targets. • Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance to ensure operational efficiency. • Assist in packaging, labelling, and documentation of finished products. • Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and secure production area. • Clean and maintain all tools, molds, furnaces, and working surfaces after each production cycle. Education & Experience • Diploma or technical certificate in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred. • Minimum 3 years of experience in a gold refinery or precious metals production environment. • Proven experience with gold melting, bar casting, and quality verification processes.
