Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for servicing, maintaining, commissioning, installing, and providing technical support for a wide range of Conventional / CNC Machine tool products with support from a group of mechanical technicians.
  • Directs, deploys, and supervises the activities of technicians as assigned by the manager.
  • Have a good understanding & working knowledge of machine tool control systems, in particular Fanuc, Siemens systems.
  • Have a good understanding of machine tool alignments and geometry.
  • Ball Screw assembly, Gearbox overhauling, Laser alignment and Ball bar experience would be beneficial.
  • Good grasp of machine tool PPM / TPM procedures.
  • Ability to work under assignments & provide customers with the highest levels of service possible.
  • Add value to the services provided and achieve first-time fixes, leading to reduced breakdown times and lower costs for the customers.
  • Good understanding of Root Cause Analysis tools & having a good knowledge of health & safety requirements.
  • Travel to customer sites & occasional overseas travel.
  • Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry safety regulations.
  • You must be willing and able to work off-hours and, on the weekends, if needed.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Installation, upgradation & repairing of Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems & other machine shop equipment.
  • Installation & repairing of Turrets, Headstocks, Spindles, Automatic tool changers, Linear guideway systems, Rotary index tables, Angular heads, etc.
  • Installation, Upgradation & repairing of conventional/ CNC lathes, mills, grinders, etc
  • Ability to lead a group of technicians by assigning work & creating schedules for timely based work.
  • Good analytical problem-solving skills & communication skills.
  • Familiarity with safety requirements and company regulations.
  • Ability to read and/or interpret mechanical part and assembly drawings.

  • Minimum of Diploma (DME) or Bachelor Degree (BE) in Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 6 to 8 years’ experience in Industrial environment.
  • Previous working experience in CNC Machine tools /Reconditioning / Gulf working would be an added advantage.
