In addition, a series of strategic partnerships, signed on virtually every continent, support the company in carrying out multidisciplinary engineering, service, service management, inspection & expediting, and recruitment & hiring of local personnel.Position:Reporting to the Corrosion Section Manager of the Materials Technology Department within the Engineering DivisionYou will be responsible for corrosion studies and material selection for various equipment in our developments.Your Main Missions And Responsibilities Will Be Develop corrosion control philosophies and material selection reports based on project data, customer specifications and international codes and standards; Performing corrosion rate calculations based on the conditions of the fluids transported in order to select materials (carbon steel pipes or corrosion-resistant materials); Assessing service requirements involving H S ( sour service ); You may also be required to support the department's Metallic Materials section by: Preparation of technical documents (specifications and requests) for the purchase and supply of various underwater metal components (carbon steel pipes, corrosion-resistant alloy pipes, duplex pipes, various forged parts, hot induction bends); Review of suppliers' technical offers; Follow-up on the production of these components.Requirements:Master's degree or bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering/Metallurgy and Chemistry/Electrochemistry; Initial experience in corrosion and material selection in the energy sector and the oil and gas industry, particularly offshore; Good knowledge of codes and standards applicable to material selection, corrosion failure mechanisms and corrosion rate calculation models/tools; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Excellent knowledge of English; Willingness to travel worldwide. Provide technical support to projects on corrosion-related topics; Manage effective interface with other disciplines and customers on corrosion and material selection issues; Conduct root cause analysis and/or criticality assessments on corrosion issues; Assist the corrosion manager in research and development studies; Capitalise on, consolidate and share experience, know-how and knowledge in the discipline..
