Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The job holder is responsible for leading and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective delivery and logistical support of laundry services from multiple state-of-the-art processing plants to various customer locations in the airline, hospitality, healthcare and institutional workwear segments to support Company’s operational and strategic goals. In addition, the role will lead in developing the logistical strategies, overseeing the management of staff transport operations and logistics across different customer locations including the increasing scope and coverage with the Linencraft 5 (LC5) commercial operations.

Key Result Areas:

  • Oversee daily logistics operations including staff transportation and delivery of laundry services to ensure route optimization, timely execution, and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Ensure fleet readiness through effective vehicle maintenance, minimizing breakdowns, and controlling repair costs whereas maintaining accurate expense records.
  • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain effective partnerships and ensure uninterrupted logistics support.
  • Proactively address and resolve logistics-related issues or complaints to ensure high standards of service and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Prepare and manage logistics budgets, including fleet-related expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor expenses against forecasts.
  • Track key logistics Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), analyze operational data, and provide insights through regular reports to senior management to support strategic decisions.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance logistics processes to boost efficiency and service delivery and continuously assess logistics processes for improvement opportunities
  • Lead, and develop the logistics team by providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to drive productivity, engagement and service excellence.
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment to ensure all team members are professionally supported, motivated, and equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Ensure all logistics operations adhere to relevant legal, regulatory, and safety standards to promote a culture of compliance and safe working practices across the team.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education Qualification:

  • A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD), or Lean Six Sigma is preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale logistics operations, preferably within a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in fleet management, heavy mechanics, and automotive electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with safety management systems and regulatory standards (ISO 45001 is a plus).

Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a large workforce.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot fleet-related technical issue.
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed reports and performance analytics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to engage constructively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong delegation skills with a focus on accountability and support.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to introduce new ideas and improvements within logistics operations.
  • High agility in decision-making under pressure to minimize operational disruptions.
  • High standard of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential matters.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE transport laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and vehicle tracking/fleet management system apps.
  • Must have a valid UAE driving licence.
