Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed surveys of land and property boundaries in various environments.
• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, and reports of legal descriptions of surveys.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as GPS and total stations for accurate measurements.
• Analyze survey data to establish precise property lines for legal purposes.
• Conduct topographical and hydrographic surveys that inform engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate survey findings into project planning.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulatory requirements during surveys.
• Provide expert testimony in court regarding land boundaries and survey findings.
• Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data for multiple uses.
• Prepare reports and documentation for clients, government, or construction entities.
• Supervise and provide guidance to survey technicians and other supporting staff.
• Stay updated on new technologies and methodologies in surveying practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Professional surveying license or certification, depending on region or country.
• Strong knowledge and experience with GIS, GPS, and CAD technology.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for precise measurements.
• Effective communication skills to convey complex information to clients and teams.
• Physical fitness to work outdoors and in varying environmental conditions.
• Previous experience in land surveying roles will be an added advantage.
