A Laboratory Technician plays a critical role in supporting scientific investigations and experiments across various fields such as biology, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and environmental sciences. This position involves performing routine laboratory tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and supporting the day-to-day operations of a laboratory. Laboratory Technicians are responsible for specimen preparation, data collection, and analysis, ensuring that all experiments are conducted accurately and efficiently. They assist scientists and researchers by following protocols and maintaining detailed records. The position requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for experiments.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments according to established protocols.

- Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and workspaces.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in developing new testing methods and refining existing procedures.
- Prepare chemical solutions and reagents as required for experiments.
- Monitor laboratory supply inventory and order materials as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with scientists and researchers to achieve laboratory objectives.
- Stay informed about new technologies and techniques in laboratory practices.
Requirements
- Associate s degree in laboratory science or a related field is required.
- Experience in a laboratory setting or relevant scientific field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and equipment operation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and analysis tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and protocols with minimal supervision.
