Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural vision and strategy for insurance business solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and industry best practices.
- Design and govern the implementation of end-to-end insurance processes, from underwriting to claims, optimizing for efficiency and customer experience.
- Evaluate and recommend technology solutions, including core insurance systems, cloud platforms, and emerging technologies, to meet evolving business needs.
- Define and maintain architectural standards, guidelines, and patterns to promote consistency, reusability, and scalability across the insurance IT landscape.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into architectural solutions, and ensure alignment with business strategy.
- Conduct architectural reviews and assessments of proposed solutions, identifying risks, and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the insurance industry, including market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and architectural approaches, such as microservices, APIs, and cloud-native solutions, to modernize insurance systems.
- Manage and communicate architectural roadmaps and plans to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications such as TOGAF, Open CA, or similar architecture certifications are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in an architecture role within the insurance industry.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing insurance core systems (e.g., policy administration, claims management, billing).
- Strong understanding of insurance business processes, including underwriting, claims processing, and policy servicing.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architecture principles.
- Solid knowledge of data modelling, integration patterns, and API design.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into architectural solutions and drive their successful implementation.
- Experience with Insurance reference frameworks (e.g., ACORD)
- Experience in Enterprise Architecture Toolsets (preferably LeanIX) including modelling, maintaining repository, creating & publishing viewpoints to stakeholders
- Experience in carrying out architecture assessments and provide recommendations
- Preferred experience on more than one core insurance product roll out, like TCS bancs, DXC Azure, Premia,Sapiens,Guidewire.
