As an Infection Control Manager, you play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of patients, healthcare staff, and visitors by managing and controlling infection risks in healthcare settings. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive infection control policies and procedures for healthcare settings.
• Monitor compliance with infection prevention practices and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Coordinate and conduct training sessions on infection control for healthcare personnel.
• Analyze epidemiological data to identify trends and develop intervention strategies.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to enhance infection prevention measures.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and address potential infection risks.
• Review and update infection control protocols to comply with latest health regulations.
• Oversee the investigation and management of infection outbreaks within the facility.
• Prepare detailed reports on infection control metrics and present findings to management.
• Advise on best practices for the safe use and disposal of medical equipment.
• Coordinate with public health agencies to report infection outbreaks and findings.
• Lead infection control committees to discuss and implement safety measures and protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 3 5 years of experience in infection control within healthcare settings.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is highly preferred for the role.
• Strong knowledge of local and national infection prevention standards and practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
• Ability to analyze complex data and create actionable infection prevention plans.
• Proficiency in using infection control software and data management tools is advantageous.
