Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

In the capacity of HR Advisor, your role is to provide dedicated support to the HR Manager / Business Partner and their client groups and provide support for the day-to-day operational issues that arise.

The Advisor will work closely with other team members including those in COE's and GBS to ensure effective delivery of people processes and alignment of HR initiatives with the organization's goals and objectives.

This role demands good HR knowledge, as well as project management abilities, analytical capability and the ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels and across multiple jurisdictions.

The role holder will need to be proficient in the use of HRIS and analytics tools as the role will require the production of insight and MI for the HR Manager / Business Partner and the ability to assist with the coordination of cyclical HR processes.

Depending on experience the role holder may have the opportunity to take direct accountability for some groups (with some oversight from a HR Manager) and take the lead on some regional projects, actively sharing approach and knowledge with other members of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support and guidance across multiple jurisdictions whilst being sensitive to cultural nuances.
  • Provide seamless cross-regional collaboration, especially between UK and MEA HR teams including COE's and GBS -to align activity and solutions.
  • Support business leaders and stakeholders in addressing people-related challenges and implementing solutions that support business goals across regions.
  • Ensuring HR policies are effectively communicated and consistently implemented across all departments, regardless of location.
  • Support the HR Managers / Business Partners to drive a high-performance culture.
  • Lead and support people related projects and change initiatives through involvement and project management support.
  • Use data and analytics to inform key people decisions.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of local employment/labor law whilst adapting HR practices to local laws, customs, and business norm.
  • Advice and coach managers on performance or conduct concerns through facilitating best practice processes.
  • Working with the HR Manager / Partner, senior HR team and the business on various change-management projects within the firm.
  • Liaising with Resourcing team on recruitment and supporting capacity management activities.

Analytics and Management Information

Experience in using modern HR technology is important as this role will have responsibility for the monthly production and analysis of various HR reports, including but not limited to:

  • Attrition analysis and insight
  • Talent management reporting
  • Diversity & Inclusion
  • Workforce management
  • Performance insight

Cyclical Processes

Provide support to HR Managers/ Business Partners for all annual cyclical processes including but not limited to:

  • Annual performance management cycle
  • Talent Management
  • Salary Review
  • Engagement survey
  • Promotion cycles

Employee Relations

  • Providing advice and mediation for employee relations issues to managers and employees.
  • Monitor probation periods.
  • Advice on policies and procedures.
  • Co-ordinate and where appropriate facilitate disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Assist with restructuring, consultation and redundancy procedures.
  • Proactively monitor absence levels, both short and long term including occupational health referrals and Group Income Protection (GIP) claims.
  • Manage secondments within the client groups.

Desired Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

Proven experience working in an advisor/generalist role, ideally gained in a professional services environment with some time spent within the UK. Experience supporting teams across multiple countries and cultures.Ability to adapt HR practices to different legal, cultural, and business environments. An understanding of current employment and labor law, particularly regarding employee relations issues and best practice case management. Proficiency with HRIS and data analytics tools to produce people insight. Evidence of strong project management skills and change management. Graduate or equivalent and ideally CIPD qualified or working towards qualification.
