Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring high-quality cleaning activities.
- Inspect hotel rooms and public areas to maintain hotel cleanliness standards.
- Coordinate daily housekeeping operations and staff schedules efficiently.
- Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning protocols and customer service expectations.
- Resolve guest complaints related to housekeeping services efficiently and courteously.
- Manage inventory supplies, including cleaning products and linens, efficiently.
- Conduct regular meetings with housekeeping staff to communicate policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards within the property.
- Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities and inventory usage.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards encountered during inspections.
- Assist in organizing special cleaning and deep cleaning projects as required.
- Support management with staffing needs and housekeeping budget management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required for applicants.
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is essential.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills for a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and housekeeping management software.
