We’re Hiring | Estimation Engineer – Automation for UAE � A well-established company in Dubai, UAE, part of a leading group in the switchgear & automation space, is looking to onboard an Estimation Engineer – Automation for their growing team. � Location: Dubai, UAE � Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
Role Overview We are seeking an Estimation Engineer with hands-on experience in preparing cost estimates and technical proposals for automation projects. The role will support tendering activities, coordinate with internal teams and clients, and deliver accurate, cost-effective estimations aligned with project requirements. Key Responsibilities • Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and commercial offers for automation projects • Review tender documents, specifications, electrical drawings, and P&IDs • Provide technical support for PLC, HMI, RTU, and SCADA systems • Assist in estimation and control panel design, considering Zone classifications and SIL requirements • Ensure compliance with UAE authority specifications (DM, DEWA, FEWA, SEWA, ADSSC) • Use vendor selection tools (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider) under guidance • Support preparation of prequalification documents and technical submittals • Attend client meetings, site visits, and technical discussions when required • Maintain estimation records and manage revisions for future reference • Coordinate with sales teams for tender follow-ups and clarifications
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering • 2–8 years of experience in automation estimation or application engineering • Working knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI, RTU, and automation systems • Familiarity with UAE standards and tendering procedures is an advantage
