Roles & Responsibilities
The role:
The Head of Region (HoR) works directly with senior management to shape and drive the commercial strategy for a defined group of markets. The role plays a key part in informing high-level decision-making by delivering structured insights, strategic recommendations, and clear market frameworks grounded in local realities.
Alongside this, the HoR collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Product, and BI teams to capture frontline intelligence and translate it into scalable initiatives. This is a senior, strategic role designed for someone who excels at turning complex, fragmented input into clarity and action enabling both operational teams and leadership to make well-informed, high-impact decisions.
The ideal candidate will bring commercial acumen, analytical depth, and a systems-thinking mindset to elevate how the business approaches regional market development.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic partner to the Sales and AM teams by capturing their deep local knowledge and systematically structuring it into commercial strategies, product feedback, and market recommendations.
- Build structured processes and decision frameworks that transform anecdotal market insights into repeatable, data-informed inputs for senior management and product teams.
- Define and coordinate regional commercial strategies across Slots and Live Casino in collaboration with internal stakeholders; support implementation across relevant functions.
- Lead development of scalable approaches for evaluating and prioritizing new tools, features, and game concepts combining frontline feedback with quantitative market research.
- Support the transformation of game design ideation into a more structured, insight-driven process, ensuring product concepts are both locally relevant and commercially sound.
- Develop operator-level strategies to convert indirect integrations (e.g., resellers, aggregators) into direct partnerships, working cross-functionally to plan and implement transitions.
- Coordinate regular reviews of RTP settings, rev share rates, and pricing to ensure competitiveness and consistency across operators.
- Maintain and update a monthly top-game list per market, identifying performance trends and supporting prioritization of promotional focus.
- Monitor and escalate issues related to fake games and manipulation in the region, collaborating with internal teams to drive countermeasures.
- Drive ongoing optimization of operator lobbies (Slots and Live Casino), working with AMs to improve visibility, categorization, and enablement.
- Continuously review and suggest improvements to the Live Casino experience including dealer mix, UI/UX, table usage, and feature set.
- Conduct structured competitor and client analysis to track positioning and market share development across key markets and products.
- Lead planning and implementation of country-specific initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment and consistent rollout.
- Monitor market trends and emerging shifts in player behavior, proposing strategy updates and escalation points where appropriate.
- Ensure high-potential game launches are properly briefed, prioritized, and supported across all relevant markets and functions.
- High intellectual curiosity with a strong desire for continuous learning. The ideal candidate is naturally inquisitive, eager to dig into details, challenge assumptions, and improve daily.
- Strong critical thinking skills. This role requires someone who questions everything even their own decisions and is open to being wrong. The candidate must understand that optimal strategies shift over time and must continuously re-evaluate what good looks like.
- Analytical and structured problem-solver with the ability to define best- and worst-case scenarios for any initiative. A logical mindset and comfort with ambiguity are key to making clear, boundary-aware decisions at pace.
- Proven ability to develop and execute data-driven strategies at market level.
- Deep understanding of Slot and Live Casino products and operational mechanics.
- Commercially astute with demonstrated experience in market strategy, pricing, or client-facing roles.
- Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional coordination, and leadership capabilities.
- Proven experience working in Asian markets and with Asian business cultures. The candidate must demonstrate cultural awareness and adaptability, with an understanding of how to build effective commercial strategies and relationships in diverse regional contexts.
- Excellent communication skills and business-level fluency in English.
- Excellent communication skills and business-level fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
