Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

The General Finance Accountant plays a key role in maintaining Faham Group’s financial health by ensuring accurate and timely recording, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions. This position supports core finance functions such as general ledger management, compliance, financial reporting, and treasury activities. The role bridges daily accounting operations with broader financial management to support the Group’s strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities

General Ledger & Financial Reporting

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts across business units.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in line with IFRS and local regulations.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including journal entries and accruals.

Banking & Treasury Support

  • Monitor bank balances, handle fund transfers, and prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and daily liquidity monitoring.
  • Assist in managing corporate credit facilities and banking relationships.

Budgeting & Forecasting Support

  • Assist in gathering financial data for budget preparations and forecasts.
  • Support variance analysis (budget vs. actuals) and assist business units in understanding financial performance.
  • Prepare management reports and dashboards as directed.

Compliance & Audit Readiness

  • Ensure accurate posting of VAT and proper documentation of tax-related transactions.
  • Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns and compliance with UAE tax regulations.
  • Provide documentation and reconciliations for internal and external audits.

ERP & Financial Systems Support

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data within the ERP system (Odoo or equivalent).
  • Support enhancements or implementation of finance-related systems, tools, and workflows.

Intercompany & Consolidation Support

  • Process and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances across Faham Group entities.
  • Assist with group-level consolidation and elimination entries as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce
  • 3–5 years of experience in a finance/accounting role, ideally in a manufacturing or multi-entity environment
  • Professional certification (or pursuit of), such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, is a plus
  • Experience with ERP (Odoo preferred) and financial reporting systems
  • Familiarity with UAE VAT and regulatory frameworks

Technical Competencies

  • Solid knowledge of financial accounting (IFRS)
  • Proficient in ERP systems (Odoo preferred, SAP/Oracle acceptable)
  • Understanding of cash flow management, budgeting, and treasury processes
  • Strong knowledge of VAT and UAE tax compliance
  • Advanced Excel and reporting tool proficiency
