About Freiburg Medical Laboratory

Freiburg Medical Laboratory Middle East LLC is a joint venture between Synlab Laboratories (Germany) and the Al Abbas Group (UAE), formerly the University of Freiburg. In 2008, FML was the first medical laboratory to receive the coveted ISO 15189 accreditation certificate in the Middle East. The goal of this independent laboratory is to provide patients, doctors, clinics, polyclinics, and hospitals with sophisticated lab analyses and routine medical tests that meet predefined quality parameters. The lab boasts highly standardized and state-of-the-art analyzers and equipment as well as experienced and regularly trained technicians, supported by the scientific know-how of Synlab Laboratories, Germany. Currently, FML is accredited according to ISO 15189, the international standard for medical laboratories, for more than 1000 parameters.
