Job Description The Fleet Planning Officer plays a pivotal role in the strategic alignment and operational efficiency of a company's vehicle fleet. This position involves the meticulous analysis of fleet data, crafting strategies to enhance asset performance, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. An adept understanding of logistics and operations is critical, as the role requires coordination across departments for the seamless integration of fleet operations. Responsibilities
- Analyze fleet data to identify trends and optimize asset utilization.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve overall fleet performance.
- Coordinate with departments to align fleet operations with business goals.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on fleet performance and future projections.
- Monitor fleet maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards for fleet operations.
- Negotiate contracts with vehicle suppliers and service providers for cost efficiency.
- Oversee the logistical planning of fleet dispatch and routing for efficiency.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders to promote collaborative improvements in operations.
- Conduct regular audits of fleet assets to maintain accuracy and reliability of data.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to integrate innovative solutions.
- Support the budgeting process by providing accurate forecasts of fleet expenses.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fleet management or operations planning.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and manage multiple projects.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle regulations and safety compliance standards.
