Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Follow up on and execute all tasks assigned by the Executive Chef or his Deputy. Proficient in preparing tasty dishes in the hot section. Support the Section Head in daily operations and work requirements. Work according to the menu specifications set by the Section Head Chefs. Always maintain the work area in a hygienic condition in line with hotel standards. Monitor and control food stock and food cost within your section. Prepare the daily mise en place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or other outlets. Follow instructions and recommendations from immediate superiors to complete daily tasks. Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in daily preparation, while keeping up to date with new products, recipes, and preparation techniques. Coordinate and collaborate with other sections regarding requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control.

Desired Candidate Profile

Diploma / Culinary School graduate

  • At least 2 years experience as Commis in a five-star resort
  • Speeks Basic English
  • Positive attitude and pleasant personality
  • Knowledge of basic preparation, presentation, and preservation of food
  • Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety procedures
