Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Field Service Technician, you will be the face of our company, representing our commitment to excellence in service and technical support across a range of industries. This role requires a well-rounded professional who can diagnose and repair equipment, provide preventative maintenance services, and support our customers operations. You will work both independently and as part of a dynamic team to ensure that our wide range of equipment meets customer expectations. Your role will be critical in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and you will be empowered to deliver solutions on-site. A successful candidate is a problem solver who adapts easily to changing field environments, has strong technical skills, and thrives on the challenges of troubleshooting in real-time.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance and calibration to ensure equipment performs optimally.
- Diagnose and repair hardware and technical issues in the field promptly.
- Perform installation of new equipment and systems as required by service contracts.
- Coordinate with clients to schedule service visits according to their convenience.
- Document service visits with detailed reports for internal and customer use.
- Provide training to customers on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate inventory of service parts and tools for effective service delivery.
- Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex service issues.
- Advise customers on best practices for maintaining their equipment effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures always.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and the company to communicate needs.
- Update and inform the management team about recurring operational issues experienced.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical certification preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a field service technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with an understanding of basic electrical principles.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently to service locations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being a team player.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and standard office software.
