Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Actively scan the water, vigilantly observing swimmers and the surrounding area for any signs of distress or potential hazards, ensuring a safe environment.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, providing immediate assistance to individuals in distress, utilizing rescue techniques and first aid.
- Administer first aid and CPR as needed, providing prompt and appropriate medical care until professional help arrives.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pool area, including the deck, equipment, and surrounding facilities.
- Communicate effectively with patrons and colleagues, providing clear instructions and information while fostering a positive atmosphere.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a basic level of education.
- Previous experience in a lifeguarding or aquatic environment is preferred, showing familiarity with pool operations.
- Strong swimming skills and proficiency in rescue techniques, including the ability to perform various strokes and rescues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective interaction with patrons and colleagues.
