Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • This position will take charge of business intelligence initiatives, including reporting, data warehousing & consolidation, data quality and data governance including data access control.
  • Design and govern the enterprise data architecture, ensuring alignment with business strategy and IT goals to create a robust data foundation.
  • Develop and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical), and data flow diagrams to provide a blueprint for data integration and usage.
  • Define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance across the organization.
  • Evaluate and recommend data management technologies (e.g., databases, data warehouses, data lakes) to optimize data storage, processing, and access.
  • Lead and participate in data integration projects, overseeing the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for seamless data movement.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions that drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct data architecture assessments and audits, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations to enhance data management capabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data engineers, data analysts, and other team members to foster a data-literate culture.
  • Stay current with emerging data technologies and trends (e.g., cloud computing, big data, AI/ML) to identify opportunities for innovation and modernization of data architecture.
  • Manage and mitigate data-related risks, including data security breaches and data privacy violations, to maintain data integrity and protect sensitive information.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, demonstrating a strong academic foundation.
  • Holds relevant certifications such as TOGAF, CDMP, or similar, showcasing a commitment to industry best practices and standards.
  • Has 10+ years of progressive experience in data architecture and data management, demonstrating proven expertise and leadership.. Experience in a similar role in a large enterprise, preferably manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of data modeling techniques (e.g., dimensional, relational) and data warehousing concepts, ensuring effective data design.
  • Exhibits proficiency in data integration tools and technologies (e.g., ETL tools, data integration platforms), ensuring efficient data flows.
  • Shows expertise in database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, cloud-based databases), ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Possesses excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling the identification and resolution of complex data-related issues.
  • Exhibits a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team, ensuring successful project delivery.
