Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Electrical & Protection Engineering

  • Develop electrical system designs including SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams, interlocking, and logic diagrams
  • Perform Protection & Control (P&C) engineering for HV/MV substations
  • Prepare and review relay settings, protection coordination studies, and load calculations
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and project-specific standards
  • Interface with switchgear, RTUs, IEDs, meters, and protection relays

SICAM PAS / SCADA Engineering

  • Configure and engineer SCADA systems using SICAM PAS
  • Develop HMI screens, alarm management, events, trends, and reports
  • Implement communication protocols: IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus, DNP3
  • Perform signal mapping, database configuration, and FAT/SAT
  • Integrate SICAM PAS with IEDs, gateways, EMS/DMS, and third-party systems

Testing & Commissioning

  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
  • Support site commissioning, loop checks, point-to-point testing, and energization
  • Troubleshoot communication, hardware, and software issues
  • Prepare as-built documentation and test reports

Project & Client Coordination

  • Coordinate with clients, OEMs, system integrators, and site teams
  • Participate in technical meetings and design reviews
  • Support project schedules, risk mitigation, and documentation close-out

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

5 10+ years of experience in substation automation, SCADA, or power systems

Hands-on experience with SICAM PAS engineering and commissioning

Strong knowledge of protection relays, IEDs, RTUs, and SAS architecture

Familiarity with IEC 61850 (GOOSE, MMS), SCADA protocols, and networking concepts
