Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Drafting and Drawing Preparation: A primary duty is to produce accurate and detailed engineering drawings, including site plans, cross-sections, and layouts for projects like stormwater drainage, wastewater networks, and water distribution systems.
  • Software Proficiency: They must be highly skilled in using industry-standard software like AutoCAD and MicroStation. They also use these tools to ensure drawings adhere to company CAD standards and improve productivity.
  • As-Built Drawings: They play a crucial role in creating as-built drawings by incorporating actual site measurements and survey data into the original design plans. This is a vital step for project handover and record-keeping.
  • Collaboration: The draftsman works closely with civil engineers, architects, and other team members to understand project requirements, address design issues, and ensure that all drawings are technically correct. They may also liaise with teams in other regions to support project completion.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering and 7 + years of experience on water infrastructure projects (stormwater network, recycled water network, sewerage network).
  • Candidates must have experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
