Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a professional and friendly Doorman to join our esteemed hospitality team at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers, Qatar. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience from the moment they arrive at our establishment.
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm, professional demeanor, assisting them in and out of vehicles
- Open doors for guests, paying special attention to children, elderly, and individuals with disabilities
- Manage vehicle parking procedures, coordinating with valet staff as needed
- Stay informed about hotel facilities, local attractions, and current events to provide accurate information to guests
- Assist with luggage handling, ensuring safe and efficient transport to and from guest rooms
- Direct and control traffic flow at hotel driveways to maintain safety and order
- Collaborate with security personnel to implement and uphold safety procedures
- Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously
- Assist with valet parking duties when required, including issuing tickets and retrieving vehicles
- Maintain a clean and organized entrance area
- Report lost and found items according to established protocols
- Adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service at all times
Desired Candidate Profile
Genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask effectively
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with luggage
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm, courteous demeanor
- Proven track record of reliability and responsibility
- Team player with a collaborative attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license for occasional valet parking assistance
- Familiarity with local customs and etiquette in Doha, Qatar
- Multilingual skills are highly advantageous
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
