Job Title : Controls & Instrumentation Engineer

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop and debug control logic programs
• Define control requirements per application
• Select appropriate hardware to develop new control systems
• Implement engineering changes to production equipment
• Coordinate with engineering and maintenance on machine control modifications
• Provide guidance and technical support for manufacturing systems activities
• Design, modify and implement department related standards and procedures
• Implement and maintain data collection system from plant floor manufacturing equipment
• Third Party System Integration of Modbus, BACnet, LON, KNX/Dali to BMS/BAS Supervisory System
• Proficiency in AutoCAD / Image Editing Tools is desirable

Education

Bachelor s degree / Diploma in Electronics / Electrical Engineering

Experience

• Two + years of experience in automation
• One to Two years experience of HGVAC controls of any of the DDC /PLC controls manufacturer
• Experience in third party system integrations ( Modbus, M-Bus, BACnet, Lon, KNX/Dali )

Skills

• Two + years of experience with PLC programming software
• Familiarity with Trend, Honeywell, ABB, SIEMENS, ETS 5, Niagara 4, JACE8000 hardware/software preferred
• Java / C#
• Strong knowledge/understanding of ladder logic, Function Block logic, blue prints and schematics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel
• Project management skills
• Work Environment
• International travel is required
