• Provide an effective audit system for the activities of the Materials Management Section.

• Provide a summary of costs required by various colleagues in the accounting and control department to prepare daily and monthly reports.

• Provide department managers with the cost figures they need to operate their individual profit center profitably.

• Provide a system for tracking data entry by heartists at the operation level.

• Compare details of quantities, unit costs, etc., on regular purchase orders with those on authorized purchase requisitions.

• To verify price and quantity variances as per the daily receiving variance report.

• Ensure that inventory items and services that are purchased and used to provide services and facilities to customers are stored and used in a controlled manner and in accordance with accounting principles.

• Check the data entered in materials management by the heartists and correct them if necessary.

• Prepare daily comparison report on actual and potential food and beverage costs/sales.

• Reconcile the cost of all agent and entertainment checks and apply the credit to the respective services.

• Prepare analysis on general stores issues, such as customer supply versus budget.

• Verify accuracy of recipes for outlets and kitchens for inventory control and potential costing purposes.

• Maintain records of inventory transactions that cannot be tracked by the system, such as banquets, cocktail parties, and buffets

• Check inventory transactions and make adjustments if necessary.

• To gather and log month-end figures.

• Assist with month end and other inventory activities in all areas of Food and Beverage and General.

• Reconcile and obtain explanation of the variation and prepare inventory adjustment authorization for approval by the Finance Director.
