Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for Control Engineer with 5 years experience in PLC Programming & SCADA Configuring.
- System Design & Implementation: Design, develop, and program control systems for new and existing district cooling plants.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and swiftly diagnose and repair faults in control systems, including hardware, software, and network issues.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze system data to identify opportunities for improving energy efficiency and operational performance, and implement new control strategies to achieve these goals.
- Project Management: Manage control system projects, including upgrades, expansions, and the integration of new equipment.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including control narratives, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and network diagrams.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all control systems adhere to safety protocols and local regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with operations, maintenance, and project teams to understand operational challenges and develop effective control solutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience with BMS, SCADA, and PLC platforms from major vendors such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, or Rockwell. Experience in the utility, energy, or district cooling industry is highly desirable. 5 years experience in PLC Programming & SCADA Configuring.
- Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of control theory and networking protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus).
Proficiency in programming languages used for automation (e.g., ladder logic, structured text).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex system malfunctions. - Personal Attributes: Strong communication skills for liaising with various teams, detail-oriented, and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
