Construction Designer Schlumberger

The Construction Designer is responsible for performing design assignments requiring knowledge and skill in basic drafting techniques or in AutoCAD and 3D Max techniques, and knowledge of certain industry standards.

• Develop AutoCAD drawings from design sketches or catalog information.
• Perform basic engineering and design calculations, sizing components and layouts consistent with the assigned discipline to produce efficient and workable drawings for projects.
• Communicate the design process within assigned discipline and coordinate work with other disciplines.
• With direction, select, design and write specifications from the scope of work for tagged material or equipment of basic items necessary for execution of the scope of work.
• Demonstrate awareness of safety requirements in daily activities, and implement safety factors in work designed.
• Mark up works in progress for others to draft or AutoCAD.
• Prepare simple engineering and construction drawings from scratch, sketches or verbal instruction, using manual or computer-assisted drafting and design techniques.
