Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
- Regulate and monitor temperatures of ovens, grills, broilers, and other kitchen equipment
- Prepare special meals and substitute items as required
- Handle food storage correctly, including thawing items from freezer to refrigerator
- Ensure correct portioning, food arrangement, and garnishing before service
- Maintain food production logs and monitor food quality and quantity
- Communicate with senior chefs during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations
- Inform Chef of excess food items for daily specials and stock optimization
- Coordinate with food and beverage service teams regarding menu specials and out-of-stock items
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation following hygiene and safety standards
- Follow all company policies related to food safety, security, and workplace conduct
- Support training, guidance, and supervision of junior kitchen team members when required
- Report maintenance issues, accidents, or unsafe conditions promptly
- Perform additional kitchen duties as assigned by supervisors
Desired Candidate Profile
Technical, trade, or vocational qualification in culinary arts or food preparation
Minimum 3 years of relevant kitchen or culinary experience
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume environment
Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills
High attention to food quality, cleanliness, and safety standards
