The Commis Chef assists in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes under the guidance of senior chefs. This entry-to-mid-level role is vital in supporting kitchen operations, maintaining hygiene standards, and learning culinary techniques to develop skills for career growth.

• Assist in preparing ingredients, cooking, and plating dishes according to kitchen standards.
• Follow recipes and instructions from the Chef de Partie or other senior chefs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
• Assist in receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
• Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
• Learn and practice new cooking techniques to improve skills.
• Support other kitchen sections during busy service periods.
  
  

• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong interest in learning and developing culinary skills.
• Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene standards.
• Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not always required.
• Culinary school training or certification is a plus.
