Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
What You ll Do
- Design coastal protection works including revetments, breakwaters, groynes, and scour protection
- Develop engineering solutions for beaches, seawater intake/outfall structures, and marinas
- Contribute to the design of man-made islands, dredging, and land reclamation projects
- Prepare specifications for bathymetric surveys and marine geotechnical investigations
- Inspect and assess the structural condition of existing coastal and marine infrastructure
- Oversee and coordinate with sub-consultants using advanced hydrodynamic modeling software (e.g., Mike21 suite)
- Ensure compliance with international and regional marine engineering codes and standards
- Prepare reports, drawings, technical specifications, and presentations for clients and stakeholders
- Stay up to date with latest technologies and practices by engaging with professional societies
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Civil or Coastal Engineering (Master s preferred)
- At least 5 years of professional experience in marine and coastal engineering design
- Proficiency in marine design software and hydrodynamic modeling tools
- Strong track record preparing marine engineering reports, drawings, and technical specifications
- Excellent English communication and technical writing skills
- Familiarity with UAE or GCC marine engineering projects preferred
- Knowledge of coastal design standards and environmental compliance regulations
