Job Title: Civil Draughtsman

Location: Dubai
Industry: Fit-out (with focus on F&B projects)
Reporting To: Project Manager / Design Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Draughtsman with experience in the fit-out industry—particularly within Food & Beverage (F&B) projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality architectural, structural, and civil drawings, collaborating with project teams, and supporting estimation and documentation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Drawings & Documentation

• Prepare detailed architectural, structural, and civil engineering drawings using CAD software in line with project specifications.
• Convert conceptual designs, sketches, and notes into precise and professional technical drawings.
• Update and revise drawings as required, ensuring all changes are accurately documented and communicated.

2. Collaboration & Coordination

• Work closely with architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and project managers to understand design intent and project scope.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design alignment and consistency across all phases of the project.
• Assist in resolving design discrepancies and provide technical input where required.

3. Quantity Take-offs & Estimation Support

• Assist the Quantity Surveyor team in extracting accurate quantities and dimensions from drawings for cost estimation and tendering purposes.
• Provide complete drawing sets to facilitate the preparation of bills of quantities and cost documentation.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure all drawings adhere to applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct quality checks to verify drawing accuracy, clarity, and completeness.

5. Project Documentation & Record Keeping

• Maintain an organized and up-to-date archive of project drawings and documentation.
• Implement proper version control and ensure all revisions are logged and archived appropriately.

6. Continuous Improvement

• Stay informed about the latest drafting technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Actively participate in training, workshops, and development programs to enhance technical skills.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in the fit-out industry, preferably in F&B projects.
• Software Proficiency:Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit, SketchUp, or similar design tools is a plus.
• Skills:

• Ability to interpret and produce complex technical drawings.
• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
