Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Your Goals:

  • Supervision & Training:Leads and manages the stewarding team, providing guidance, setting performance standards, and training staff on hygiene, safety, and operational procedures.
  • Cleanliness & Hygiene:Enforces strict cleanliness and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas, including dishwashing operations, equipment, and food storage areas.
  • Inventory Management:Orders, monitors, and controls the inventory of supplies such as cleaning chemicals, non-food items, plateware, silverware, and equipment.
  • Back-of-House Operations:Manages the daily operations of the back-of-house, including cleaning schedules, waste removal, and ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
  • Collaboration:Works closely with culinary and the GM to ensure smooth operations, especially during peak periods or special events.
  • Equipment Maintenance:Inspects all kitchen equipment, work areas, and smallware to ensure they are in good working order and meet health and safety standards.
  • Cost Control:Manages raw material stocks and supervises the teams adherence to loss prevention policies to control costs effectively.
