Roles & Responsibilities
Role Overview
The Chief of Staff is the principal strategic advisor and right hand to the Chairman, serving as the central point of coordination for all executive activities. This role ensures operational excellence across the organization by overseeing daily priorities, driving strategic initiatives, and enhancing decision-making effectiveness. The CoS is responsible for aligning cross-functional teams, streamlining communication, and ensuring the Chairman is consistently prepared for engagements, decisions, and commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support & Coordination
- Manage the Chairman's calendar, prioritize meetings, and oversee scheduling of critical engagements.
- Prepare and brief the Chairman on key issues, documents, and meeting agendas.
- Anticipate the Chairman's needs and proactively manage priorities.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Translate the Chairman's vision into actionable plans across business units.
- Lead and monitor execution of high-impact initiatives and projects.
- Drive alignment across multiple companies, boards, and stakeholders.
Leadership & Team Management
- Oversee internal teams and ensure accountability for deliverables.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board for senior leadership.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance oversight of executive staff.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary liaison between the Chairman and senior leadership.
- Ensure smooth internal communication and timely escalation of critical matters.
- Represent the Chairman in select meetings and events when required.
Governance & Decision Support
- Streamline decision-making by filtering priorities and managing information flow.
- Develop briefing materials, reports, and presentations for the Chairman.
- Track progress of key commitments and ensure timely follow-through.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor organizational performance, highlight gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Implement systems and processes that enhance efficiency at the executive level.
- Oversee cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of executive-level management experience, ideally in multi-sector or complex organizational environments.
- Demonstrated success in leadership roles with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional organizational, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at the highest levels.
- High emotional intelligence, discretion, and integrity in handling sensitive matters.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-pressure environment.
- International exposure and cross-cultural management experience preferred.
