Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
-
Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and building systems across resort and adventure park zones
-
Implement CMMS-driven preventive maintenance programs for all guests and back-of-house areas
-
Ensure rapid, guest-sensitive response to technical issues
-
Lead the planning, development, and operational rollout of staff accommodation facilities, ensuring compliance, comfort, and seamless transition from pre-opening to post-opening phases.
Strategic Planning & Budgeting
-
Develop and manage engineering OpEx and CapEx budgets
-
Lead lifecycle planning and asset protection strategies
-
Provide owner-facing justifications for technical investments
-
Design and implement energy-efficient systems and lifecycle cost models to optimize long-term asset value and reduce environmental impact.
Compliance & Risk Management
-
Ensure full compliance with Saudi building codes, fire safety, and Accor audit protocols
-
Champion Energy Management, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety programs
-
Lead internal audits and coordinate external inspections
Team Development
-
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing engineering team
-
Conduct performance reviews and succession planning
-
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
-
Support the Saudization strategy by mentoring and developing young Saudi engineering talent, fostering long-term career pathways and technical excellence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Partner with Rooms Division, F&B, and Adventure Park operations to align infrastructure with guest experience
-
Actively contribute to ExCom strategy and hotel-wide initiatives
-
Act as technical liaison with local authorities, contractors, and Accor engineering network to ensure timely approvals and brand-aligned execution.
Brand & Guest Experience Integration
-
Embed MANTIS storytelling into infrastructure and technical touchpoints
-
Support pre-opening readiness and phased deployment of systems
-
Promote eco-lodge principles and nature-based engineering solutions
Desired Candidate Profile
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
-
Minimum 10 years of hospitality engineering leadership, ideally with pre-opening exposure
-
Strong knowledge of CMMS, sustainability practices, and risk mitigation
-
Proven ability to manage budgets, lead teams, and drive compliance
-
Certifications: NEBOSH, LEED, or equivalent preferred
