Chief Development Officer, Industrial Real Estate

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Chief Development Officer to scale our industrial real estate platform across multiple markets. You will lead the acquisition, entitlement, and delivery of warehouses, logistics parks, and light industrial facilities. This role calls for a builder with a record of closed land deals, on-time construction, and disciplined capital deployment, with a clear path to public market readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of industrial developments from site sourcing and land acquisition through permitting, utilities, construction, and tenant handover
• Own project budgets, schedules, risk management, and value engineering to deliver on business targets
• Build and maintain a pipeline of strategic land and redevelopment opportunities for logistics and industrial use
• Direct design, master planning, infrastructure, and sustainability initiatives that improve build speed and operating performance
• Lead high-performing teams, including internal talent, consultants, contractors, and JV partners
• Establish reporting and governance that meet institutional standards and support investor confidence
• Partner with leasing, asset management, and capital markets to align product, tenants, and funding across the portfolio

Requirements

• Minimum 20 years in senior development or real estate leadership, focused on industrial or logistics
• Proven track record delivering complex, multi-phase industrial projects across diverse markets
• Deep knowledge of land deals, entitlements, infrastructure planning, procurement, and construction delivery
• Experience working with institutional capital, including private equity and public market stakeholders
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution in the field and at the board table
• Ability to navigate regulators, municipalities, utilities, transportation authorities, and community stakeholders
• Exposure to IPO preparation or listed-company governance is a plus
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Fluency in English, additional languages are an advantage
