As Malgudi expands with its new outlet in Motor City, Dubai, we are looking for talented culinary professionals to join our dynamic team and bring the rich and vibrant tastes of South India to life.


Position Overview:

The Chef de Partie (CDP) is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring that all dishes are prepared, cooked, and presented to the highest standards. This role upholds consistency, enforces food safety and hygiene practices, and supports seamless kitchen operations through teamwork and attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your assigned section according to Malgudi’s recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared promptly and meet the restaurant’s quality expectations.
  • Supervise and train Commis Chefs or junior team members within your section.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of the workstation.
  • Monitor portion control and proactively minimize food waste.
  • Support the Sous Chef in menu development and creation of daily specials.
  • Conduct regular checks on kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP and all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols.
  • Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and ordering supplies.
  • Coordinate effectively with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service flow.

Requirements:

  • Languages: English and Hindi (spoken); knowledge of South Indian languages is an advantage
  • Education: Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent preferred
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in a reputed restaurant or hotel
  • Strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine (preferred)
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and passion for culinary excellence
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
