Job Description

As an Assistant Nurse in the OPD (Outpatient Department) specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality healthcare services to patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the healthcare team in delivering comprehensive patient care, including conducting preliminary assessments, supporting the nursing staff, and ensuring seamless patient flow within the department. You will work closely with physicians, advanced practice nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create an efficient and supportive environment that promotes patient well-being. Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and nurses in delivering patient care in the OPD.
  • Coordinate patient appointments and ensure timely patient management.
  • Provide support during gynecological and obstetrical examinations.
  • Collect and document medical histories and vital signs accurately.
  • Prepare examination rooms and maintain a clean and sterile environment.
  • Assist in minor surgical procedures as required by the medical team.
  • Manage patient queries and provide relevant information and support.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Participate in educational programs to enhance patient care delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
  • Keep accurate and confidential records of patient information and treatments.
  • Assist in patient discharge planning and follow-up appointments.

Requirements
  • Valid nursing license and registration with a recognized nursing board.
  • Diploma or degree in Nursing with a focus on obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an OPD setting preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective patient and team interaction.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Proficient in using healthcare software and maintaining electronic health records.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach in dealing with women s healthcare.
