Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Marketing & Brand Development
  • Support development and execution of brand and product marketing strategies tailored to West African markets.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify growth opportunities and white spaces.
  • Develop and localize marketing materials (catalogs, POPs, POS, brochures) for regional relevance.

Trade Marketing & Channel Support

  • Plan and implement trade marketing activities across dealer networks, distributors, and project segments.
  • Organize painter meets, contractor training programs, and retailer engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to drive channel incentives, loyalty programs, and visual merchandising.

Campaign & Promotion Management

  • Design and execute region-specific promotional campaigns and seasonal offers.
  • Monitor effectiveness of marketing initiatives and prepare performance reports.

Product Management

  • Liaise with product development teams to introduce and launch new products suited for regional climates and consumer preferences.
  • Manage lifecycle of products, pricing strategy, and stock planning with supply chain team.

Digital & On-ground Activation

  • Contribute to region-specific digital and social media strategies.
  • Support on-ground activations including exhibitions, trade fairs, and community engagement events.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate with local marketing agencies, printing vendors, and media for timely execution.

Build relationships with regional distributors and understand on-ground challenges

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing / Business Administration; MBA preferred.
  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in the Paint industry, preferably in marketing roles.
  • Hands-on experience in African markets, with preference for West Africa.
  • Strong understanding of channel dynamics – B2B, B2C, project segment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (French language proficiency is a plus).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to West African countries as required.
