Job Description

The Assistant Manager Catering Sales plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the catering division. This position is responsible for supporting the Catering Sales Manager in managing client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and enhancing the overall performance of the sales team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, exceptional customer service skills, and a strong background in sales. The Assistant Manager will be instrumental in crafting strategies to increase sales revenue, managing event logistics, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.


Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic sales plans for catering.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Catering Sales Manager to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and consumer needs in the catering industry.
  • Coordinate and manage logistics for catering events to ensure seamless execution.
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals and contracts in accordance with company policies.
  • Prepare detailed event plans and communicate requirements to the operations team.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Train and mentor junior sales staff to enhance their sales skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and materials.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows to expand network.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during catering events.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a catering environment.
  • Strong understanding of the catering and events management processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously with high efficiency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software applications.
