Job Description

The Assistant Commercial Finance Manager serves as a critical component within the finance department, working closely with senior management and other key stakeholders. The role primarily focuses on the commercial aspects of financial management, aiding in taking strategic decisions that align with the organization's objectives. This position requires a dynamic professional who can blend financial expertise with business acumen. The successful candidate will be expected to provide insightful analysis, reporting, and recommendations to support business performance and profitability. Additionally, the Assistant Commercial Finance Manager will assist in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis. The candidate will play a crucial role in implementing and monitoring financial controls and processes, ensuring that the company operates efficiently and profitably.


Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate financial analysis to support business decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Collaborate with different departments to enhance understanding and control of financial costs.
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct variance analysis and develop financial models for decision-making purposes.
  • Support the implementation of financial controls, procedures, and business processes.
  • Participate in strategic planning and financial strategy formulation with management teams.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Assist in the development of commercial finance strategies to drive profitability.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for performance improvement.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor movements to deliver actionable insights.
  • Support audits and prepare documentation required for internal and external reviews.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Professional qualification such as CFA, CIMA, or ACCA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a finance or accounting role preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for the role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills are necessary.
  • Experience with financial software systems, such as SAP or Oracle, is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
