Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
planning & Budgeting:
• Prepare the budget for all Shops in terms of both quantity & value: monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Perform Market research and submit detailed reports to the direct manager including competitors’ products, prices, visual merchandising, fits, and sizes that are not available in our stock.
• Prepare SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis for prospective new shops.
• Implementing the Brand concept of each brand as per Head Office direction & guidelines.
• Arrange promotions and marketing strategies and trends.
Marketing & Sales:
• Prepare a detailed sales strategy plan.
• Prepare Sales Budget monthly and annually and need to set & achieve hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annual shops targets.
• Analyze Sales: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually and ensure an uptrend graph.
• Monitor average bill transactions (both in terms of quantity & value) of each shop after analyzing them, review average invoice value closely to ensure that the total value of purchase goes always in an up-trend, in addition to creating plans to increase the average bill.
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly sales of each transaction and focus on selling full outfits/a complete set of clothes.
• Follow up on customer’s orders and ensure their satisfaction at all times.
Product Merchandising :
• Prepare distribution plan for all items to the shops.
• Ensure that the replenishment takes place either through auto-replenishment from the DIP warehouse or by intra-store replenishment on time.
• Ensuring that all goods that are available in stock get fair treatment in terms of display.
• Analyze product movement and provide feedback on product movement to direct Manager with suggestions on future orders.
• Communicate with Retail Merchandisers regarding shop orders, missing items, and fast-moving & slow-moving items, and coordinate with merchandisers for moving the fast-moving items from non-performing shops.
• Conduct product research on current and future trends and requirements for the brands.
Visual Merchandising :
• Cooperate with the Visual Merchandising team for proper Visual Merchandising display as per brand concept. Assist in setting Visual Merchandising standards for our brands.
• Evaluate the display of the VM and its effect on shop sales, and if required to move the items to another location in the shop, this can be tested and if proven effective these changes need to be aligned with all shops.
• Coordinate and align with the Artist Team regarding their outcome of sales boards, special offer boards, any promotional item, window stickers fixing, etc., to match it with the requirement and ensure that it’s placed in the proper timing, also, make sure to report any discrepancies to the concerned personnel.
Inventory:
• Prepare stock-taking/inventory plan .
• Monitor stock periodically as satisfactory, ensure there are no variances, and in case any variances are found, investigate and follow up to find the reason, and follow up with the concerned personnel till the issue is resolved.
Relation Customer:
• Solving customer issues by discussing directly with the customer if the shop manager could not handle the situation or if there were a major issue, and ensuring that all customers get the best possible service.
• Ensure that the team is collecting customers’ input on our products to take necessary actions and that customers’ data is recorded, updated, and maintained in order to build a stronger relationship with customers.
Manpower:
• Train the new staff and ensure complete product knowledge and customer service training is given, assessed, and after a while, reevaluate them.
• Whenever the shops get new products or items, he/she needs to explain the qualities/advantages of the product to the sales team, which will help them in the selling process.
• Inform the staff of their daily, weekly, and monthly individual sales targets, monitor sales staff performance closely to identify low-performance staff, and take necessary measures to improve their performance by counseling and /or further training if needed. Also, provide the staff with tips on how to stay competitive along with the better-performing colleagues.
• Conducting interviews and selecting the right candidate for the shops' requirements.
• Preparing performance evaluations of all employees every month and taking necessary action in coordination with the HR department and direct Manager. Follow up on the performance evaluation of the previous month, and observe the improvement.
• Consider flexi hours in smaller shops to ensure maximum commission for salespersons, at the same time taking into consideration it does not affect the sales.
General Administration:
• Lease & coordinate with other departments like, HR, Warehouse, Purchase, I.T., and Finance as & when required.
• Ensure money is deposited to the bank correctly every day, and that a daily Cash deposit slip scanned copy has been sent to him/her for cross-checking.
• Handle emergency situations, and need to be ready to answer the company phone even after duty hours in order to attend to emergency calls.
• Building good relationships with mall/property representatives.
• Get training from I.T. – Business Solution team for ERP system - attendance System for monitoring products, prices, movement of the goods, inventory, sales data, attendance, absence, annual leaves, joining, etc., and in case of any technical issue he/she should report the matter concerned parties.
• Need to send daily reports to the direct manager including the checklist for the tasks to be done in each shop.
Desired Candidate Profile
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in fashion retail management, including at least 5 years in a role as an Area Manager or in a similar capacity within a premium brand.
