Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with local and international regulations.
• Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and lead the year-end audit process liaising with external auditors.
• Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing coaching and mentorship.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements for financial performance.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic decision-making.
• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by the accounting staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial control.
• Ensure compliance with tax filings and related regulatory requirements in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting tools is essential.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with a collaborative attitude.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with great attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
