A Yard Operations Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the management and coordination of a yard or a facility s day-to-day operations. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily yard operations, including receiving and dispatching goods.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures at all times.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate yard staff to enhance productivity and performance.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment.
• Improve operational efficiency by identifying and resolving bottlenecks in workflow processes.
• Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of all yard activities, including shipments and receipts.
• Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize resource utilization and reduce operational costs.
• Foster a culture of safety by conducting regular safety meetings and drills.
• Ensure the yard equipment is maintained and serviced regularly to prevent downtime.
• Address and resolve any operational issues or customer complaints promptly.
• Develop and implement performance metrics to track and improve yard operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in yard or warehouse operations management.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills with a track record of team management.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using inventory management software and other operational tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with staff and clients.
• Ability to develop and implement effective operational strategies and procedures.
