Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. WPS Processing & Transaction Handling

  • Process and validate WPS (Wage Protection System) salary files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with QCB regulations.
  • Upload, monitor, and manage SIF files through the bank's WPS system.
  • Handle transaction queue processing, salary file rejections, and exception cases.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely execution of all WPS-related activities.

2. Digital Back Office Operations

  • Process digital banking transactions, requests, and system-generated tasks.
  • Validate customer instructions and ensure adherence to internal controls.
  • Monitor digital queues (online banking, mobile banking, e-channels) and resolve pending transactions within SLAs.
  • Support digital product enhancements and process improvements.

3. Reconciliation, Reporting & Controls

  • Perform daily reconciliation for WPS transactions, digital channels, and back-office tasks.
  • Identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and coordinate with stakeholders for resolution.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management review.
  • Maintain documentation accuracy and comply with internal audit and regulatory requirements.

4. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all activities adhere to QCB guidelines, AML policies, internal procedures, and Sharia compliance where applicable.
  • Report suspicious or unusual activities as per AML guidelines.
  • Maintain clean desk policy and follow operational risk frameworks.

5. Cross-functional Coordination & Support

  • Liaise with IT, compliance, branch operations, and customer service teams for issue resolution.
  • Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for system changes or enhancements.
  • Support automation initiatives aimed at reducing manual processes and improving efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience & Expertise:

  • 1–3 years of experience in banking operations, back-office processing, WPS handling, or digital banking operations.
  • Strong understanding of WPS workflow, SIF file structure, digital channels, and transaction processing.
  • Experience in reconciliation, AML checks, queue management, or compliance operations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with banking systems, core banking platforms, or digital channels preferred.
  • Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, reporting).

Skills & Competencies:

  • High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight SLAs.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Team player, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Banking, or related field.
  • Certifications in banking operations, compliance, or digital banking are an added advantage.
