Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

As a Workscoping engineer, your challenge will be to meet the objectives of the shop floor visit (quality, cost and TAT).

Main tasks:

  • Provide technical support for shop visit management and the application of Workscoping (WKS), taking into account the objectives of the shop visit (engine performance, cost and rotation time), customer specifications and quality requirements.
  • Act as the main technical interface of the workshop for the FTM and the end customer, in coordination with the Engine Owner.
  • Prepare the motor induction: analyze the initial WKS and the incoming motor configuration, transcribe the WKS into instructions for the workshop via PEMAIL_ADDRESS.
  • Use the information reported by the shop operations to propose evolutions of the WKS during the shop visit.
  • Produce part of the engine repair documentation for the customer.
  • Provide technical support to the Engine Owner and the Technical Team Leader (FTM) for communication with the end customer.

Knowledge:

  • Mechanical/Electromechanical/Aeronautical Maintenance
  • Engine architecture, assembly/reassembly process, main engine parts
  • Engine operation and systems, interaction with the control system
  • Aeronautical regulations, Safety Management System (SMS), quality procedures, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) rules, principles of the Organizational Hygiene & Human Factors (OHF)
  • Overall Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) process

Expertise:

  • Complete autonomy to perform tasks in accordance with procedures and to use the information systems (IS) tools specific to the position
  • Use of internal and external documentation (including OEM and customer maintenance references)
  • Analysis of the initial WKS. Proposed evolution of the WKS to address the findings of the workshop visit.
  • Identification and reporting of technical problems; taking action or making proposals to management
  • Writing technical documents, primarily for shop visit work
  • Provide feedback on the engine workshop visit and the work execution process

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: University degree in engineering / technology, 2-5 years after high school or equivalent level based on professional experience.

Experience: Prior experience in aeronautical maintenance.

Language skills: Proficiency in technical English (level B2).
