Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Design and implement production workflows within the Digital Oilfield environment.
• Collaborate with technical leads and petroleum engineers to define engineering process requirements.
• Develop workflow logic using Python for automation, data analysis, and API integrations.
• Perform data extraction and transformation from engineering databases and simulators.
• Develop process models (Reservoir, Surface Network, Proxy, etc.) using engineering software tools.
• Support well modeling, nodal analysis, and production optimization activities.
• Troubleshoot workflow and system integration issues across multiple applications.
• Assist with documentation, testing, and validation of workflows before deployment.
• Work with business architects and IT teams to ensure integration with enterprise systems.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required Skills and Experience:
• Strong hands-on experience in Python development for API automation and data analysis.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience in using or integrating with reservoir and production simulation tools (Nexus, Prosper, GAP, or similar).
• Strong SQL knowledge and relational database experience.
• Familiar with production workflows, nodal analysis, and debottlenecking of oilfield systems.
• Understanding of upstream oil & gas production and surface facility processes.
• Experience in developing engineering workflows in DOF / Landmark / Avocet / OFM environments.
Preferred Skills:
• Exposure to Digital Oilfield technologies and workflow engines.
• Experience with version control (Git), testing, and workflow monitoring tools.
• Experience in workflow deployment and administration.
• Knowledge of production data systems (PI, SCADA, or data historians).
• Excellent documentation and communication skills in English.
• Flexible to travel and work onsite with multidisciplinary teams.
Education:
• Bachelor’s in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or Computer Science Engineering.
