Roles & Responsibilities

We are expanding our in-house digital team and looking for a highly experienced WordPress professional to take on a hands-on leadership role. You will lead a small team of 2 developers while actively working on advanced WordPress development projects yourself.

Important: This is an in-person, full-time position based in Heliopolis, Cairo. Remote/online work is not possible.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of 2 WordPress developers.
  • Stay hands-on: design, build, and optimize custom WordPress websites.
  • Develop custom themes, plugins, and API integrations.
  • Optimize performance, security, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ensure best practices in coding, architecture, and deployment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Extensive WordPress experience (8+ years).
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and WordPress hooks/filters.
  • Proven experience with WooCommerce, custom post types, ACF, and multisite environments.
  • Experience with Git, WP-CLI, Composer, and other developer tools.
  • Solid understanding of hosting environments, DNS, and server optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring developers is a plus.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
