Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are currently looking for an experienced Utilities Engineer to work closely with the team in SETS North Africa Cairo Office

  • Carry out design of wet utilities distribution systems like potable water, firefighting, irrigation, networks, and gravity networks like sewage & storm water drainage networks
  • Prepare hydraulic calculations
  • Prepare and develop hydraulic models for pressurized & gravity networks
  • Prepare different project reports, design reports, design criteria, etc.
  • Prepare & draft CAD / PDF drawings (layout plans, profiles, typical details, etc)
  • Carry out CAD related tasks while using special 3D software and model creation.
  • Support & participate in preparing the presentations
  • Overall utility design coordination with other disciplines (structures, roads, landscape & etc)
  • Attend coordination meetings (online / physical) and participate in carrying out site visits
  • Strong communication skills with ability to multi-task
  • Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5-7 years relevant experience in designing wet utilities networks in Egypt & Gulf Countries
  • Knowledgeable of hydrological studies and flood protection measures
  • Well acquainted with BIM coordination and solving clashes
  • Experienced in some or all the following software:
  1. Microsoft Office
  2. WaterCAD / WaterGEMS
  3. Water Hammer
  4. SewerCAD / SewerGEMS
  5. StormCAD
  6. Hyfran, WMS, HECMAS & HECRAS
  7. Bentley Flow Master & Bentley Culvert Master
  8. ARC GIS & Global Mapper
  9. AutoCAD 2D & AutoCAD C3D
  10. BIM (Naviworks and any software related to BIM package)
