Mechanical Operations for WELLHEADS AND Other Pressure Control Equipments

- Must be able to primarily work (New manufactured, repair and refurbish, field services) on Wellheads and XMas tree equipment of various pressure rating and configurations is required.

- Must be able to work on multiple other pressure containing and pressure control equipments such as Blow Out Preventers (BOPs), Flow Line Products, Choke and Kill Manifolds, Various of types of Choke valves, irrespective of type, size and pressure rating as per the respective API standards is desirable.

- Must be knowledgable of DCI process of Wellheads, Xmas Tress and multiple pressure containing and pressure control equipments as listed above, irrespective size and pressure rating as per established procedure of API standards.

- Ability to prepare as found reports and as built reports.

- Ability to identify defects or problems on the wellheads, X mas tree, valves and other pressure control and pressure containing equipment irrespective of type, size and pressure rating as per established procedure of API standard and ability to recommend repairs.

- Must have knowledge test procedures and acceptance levels of test criteria for Wellheads and Pressure containing and pressure control equipments as per the API standards being used in HME.

- Ability to Interpret test result and communicate fluently with the third-party inspectors and/or customers for certification, recertification procedures within workshop or on site, as required.

- Assembling the wellheads and X mas tree configurations and other pressure containing and pressure control equipments and can independently handle commissioning activities on site without supervision (if required).

· Risk Assessment

- Ability to contribute to identifying, assessing, and mitigating the risks to operating level as per HSE norms

- Identifying, assess and mitigate the risks to operating level as per HSE norms.

- Ability to implement the risk plan and monitor the same

Mechanical Equipments and Tools

- Ability to use appropriate tools such as spanners, Torque Wrenches, Hydraulic Jacks, Hydraulic Pumps, optical measuring equipments, measuring instruments and other tools required for the DCI and assembly processes.

- Must be able perform disassembly, assembly, and commissioning of mechanical equipments as per the OEM’s/CEM’s instructions & the procedures and under guidance.

- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of operations of pneumatics and hydraulics.

- To use experience and knowledge on pressure testing/ ratings of the system.

Specifications, Tolerances & Drawings

· Measurement and Tolerances

- To use knowledge and experience to identify discrepancies if any, in the tolerances and fits by reading drawings and check if it’s within the limits.

- Has the ability to understand the tolerances from drawings and check if the readings are within the tolerance limits.

· Reading Drawings, OEM Catalogues and Tolerance Charts

- Read and interpret all aspects of equipment, piping, engineering drawings including materials, tolerances and design aspects.

- Interpret and demonstrate OEM /CEM catalogue and procedures.

- Ability to interpret tolerance charts.
